\"\"<\/td>MEDICI\u00d3N DE LA INEQUIDAD: EL \u00cdNDICE DE EQUIDAD DE G\u00c9NERO 2012<\/strong><\/a>El \u00cdndice de Equidad de G\u00e9nero (IEG) mide la brecha entre hombres y mujeres en educaci\u00f3n, actividad econ\u00f3mica y empoderamiento pol\u00edtico.
Social Watch calcula un valor de la brecha de g\u00e9nero para cada una de las tres \u00e1reas, en una escala del 0 (cuando, por ejemplo, ninguna mujer recibe educaci\u00f3n pero todos los hombres la reciben) al 100 (igualdad perfecta). A su vez, el IEG es el promedio simple de las tres dimensiones. En materia de educaci\u00f3n, el IEG observa en la brecha de g\u00e9nero en la matr\u00edcula a todos los niveles de la ense\u00f1anza y en la alfabetizaci\u00f3n; la participaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica calcula las brechas en los ingresos y el empleo; y el empoderamiento mide las brechas en los empleos altamente calificados, los cargos parlamentarios y las c\u00fapulas econ\u00f3micas.
